WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio – The Malone University women's golf red team finished eighth overall after day two of the JCU Fall Invitational at Manakiki Golf Course. The Pioneers shot a 727 (350-377) and were able to hold true in eighth place after losing 27 strokes to their Saturday score. DePauw University defeated Ashland University in a team playoff to win the event.
Kaylyn Henson shot a 178 (84-94), the lowest stroke total for Malone.
Kassidy Glover was just one stroke back of her at 179 (85-94).
Abbigail Jones had the lowest day two score for the Pioneers and finished at 184 (93-91).
The remaining two team members were
Jayne Bernard at 190 (88-102) and
Abrielle Nikolaidis at 195 (97-98). Individual scorers for Malone were
Madison Wright at 193 (98-95) and
Emily Stanford at 216 (109-107).
The women's golf blue team competes at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon University and Whispering Woods Golf Club beginning on Monday, October 7.
