North Canton, Ohio -- The Malone University men's and women's track & field team competed at the Walsh Tune-Up in North Canton, Ohio on Thursday.
Women's Highlights
In the long jump, Delaney Farrell marked a jump of 4.49 meters. Farrell also received a 13th place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a career best time of 16.87 seconds.
For throwing, Madeline Maline and Jill Hawks had exceptional performances in the javelin throw. Maline placed first with a personal record throw of 31.33 meters and Hawks threw 30.98 meters to give her a second place finish.
Sabrina McClain placed second in the 3000-meter steeplechase, clocking a time of 11:43.40.
Ella Pumneo finished the 1500-meter run in ninth place with a career best time of 4:51.20.
Amber Morris competed in the 400-meter dash. She crossed the finish line at 1:03.56, resulting in an 18th place finish.
Men's Highlights
In the javelin throw, Donovan O'Neil threw a personal best distance of 46.16 meters, placing third.
In the 1500-meter run, Hayden Schmidt finished second with a time of 3:55.30.
Jordyn Dillavou clocked a time of 15:35.00 in the 5000-meter run. His performance allowed him to get a third place finish.
Trevon Houston ran a time of 50.11 seconds in the 400-meter run, giving him a third place finish.
Davion Winston and Collin McClure both competed in the long jump. Winston placed fourth with a jump of 6.20 meters and McClure marked a distance of 6.16 meters, giving him a fifth place finish.
Me'zel Square-Ward placed second with a mark of 12.58 meters in the triple jump.

On Wednesday, May 4, Thursday, May 5, and Friday, May 6, the Malone track & field squad will compete in the 2023 Great Midwest Outdoor Championships hosted by Ashland University.
