Track & Field Ends Effort at Slippery Rock

Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania -- The Malone University men's and women's track & field team competed at the Dave Labor Invitational in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Women's Highlights
In the long jump, Megan Reifsnyder marked a jump of 4.85 meters. 

Rebekah Stoneman placed sixth in the 400-meter run, clocking a time of 1:05.05.

Kristin Yeager finished the 800-meter run in seventh place with a time of 2:31.55.

Sabrina McClain competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase. She crossed the finish line at 12:11.38, resulting in a third place finish.

For throwing, Natalie Crum received a 10th place finish with a throw of 10.26 meters in the shot put.

In the discus throw, Taylor Walls and Carmen Krichbaum had exceptional performances. Walls placed sixth with a distance of 32.31 meters and Krichbaum threw 31.87 meters to give her a seventh place finish. 

Men's Highlights
In the discus throw, Donovan O'Neil threw a distance of 34.90 meters. 

In the 110-meter hurdles, Alexander Swinehart finished first with a time of 15.76 seconds.

Tyler Twining (3rd) and Eric Dehmer (6th) clocked times of 2:02.14 and 2:02.82, respectively in the 800-meter run.

Josiah Hicks ran a time of 16:05.58 in the 5000-meter run, giving him a fifth place finish.

Phil Stupka and Trevon Houston both competed in the 400-meter dash. Stupka placed sixth with a time of 52.18 seconds and Houston crossed the finish line at 53.14 seconds, giving him a ninth place finish.

In the jumping events, Collin McClure finished ninth with a mark of 12.62 meters in the triple jump.

What's Next?
On Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, the Malone track & field squad will compete in the John Homon Open hosted by the University of Mount Union.
