FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Malone University baseball team played their second Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) series of the season this past weekend.
The four-game series against the University of Findlay was split up over the course of four days due to inclement weather.Â
Unfortunately, the Pioneers dropped all four games to the host Oilers.Â

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE SERIES
- Tyson Gingerich led the Pioneers with a .353 batting average in the series. He was 6-17 at the plate with 3 runs scored and 3 stolen bases.Â
- Jake Aleman and Evan Balzano each had four base hits during the series.Â
- Jeremy Tonelli led Malone with 4 RBIs on the weekend, and now leads the team with 25 on the season.Â
- Mitch Maurer pitched a team-high 6 innings. He allowed just one earned run to score.Â
- Devin Norton led the way with 6 strikeouts to push his team-leading season total out to 41.Â
WHAT'S NEXT
After 22 straight games away from Canton to open the season, Malone will play their 2023 home opener tomorrow afternoon.Â
The Pioneers will host West Virginia State University. First pitch from Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
