Biography

Prior to Malone: Criss is from Steubenville, OH and graduated from Steubenville High School. Criss originally attended Miami University for his freshman year but now transferred to Malone University at the start of his sophomore year. While at Steubenville, Criss won two varsity letters for both baseball and football. In baseball, Criss was the East District Player of the Year as well as Second-Team All-Ohioan. Clayton was also a two-time Academic All-Ohioan for both baseball and football. For baseball, Criss was a part of the 2016, 2017, and 2019 OVAC Champions team as well as the 2016 and 2017 OHSAA Regional Championship team. He was an East District Champion for all four years. In Football, Criss was a part of the 2017 Davison IV State Championship team. While in High school, Criss was a nominee to the US Naval Academy and a part fo the NHS. He was in the top 10 of his graduating class.
