CANTON -- On Thursday, the Malone University men's golf team and the women's golf red team competed in the Phipps Spring Memorial hosted by the University of Mount Union.
Malone and Mount Union were the only schools who competed in the 18-hole event at Glenmoor Country Club.
On the men's side, the Pioneers topped the Purple Raiders by a 293 to 318 mark.
On the women's side MU took home the title 380 to 396.

For the women, the blue team is back in action on April 4 and 5 at the NC4K Classic. The men will tee it up on those same dates at the CAV Classic.
