Findlay, Ohio -- The Malone University men's and women's track & field team competed at the Great Midwest Indoor Championships in Findlay, Ohio on Friday and Saturday. The women brought home a seventh place finish, while the men placed seventh overall.
Women's Highlights
In the 5000-meter run, Leah Metzger finished fifth with a time of 17:56.60.
Logan Ferrucci competed in the pentathlon and placed third with a personal best 3156 points. Ferrucci also finished seventh in the long jump with a distance of 5.19 meters, and placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a career best time of 9.17 seconds.
Men's Highlights
Tellis Horne ran 6.96 seconds in the 60-meter dash that got him a sixth place finish. Horne also competed in the 200-meter dash and placed second with a time of 22.17 seconds.
In the 5000-meter run, Nicholas Michels finished sixth overall in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:03.19. Max Gucker was the next Pioneer to cross the finish line with an eighth place finish.
Matthew Kuyken received an eighth place finish with a time of 1:56.66 in the 800-meter run.
Lucas Clark was named G-MAC Third Team All-Conference in the 3000-meter run after running a time of 8:28.54.
