Great Midwest Athletic Conference Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Monday, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Malone University senior
Emma Kallas was named the Great Midwest Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week after her performance in a pair of home games for the Pioneers last week.
With teammate
Alexis Hutchison earning the award on two separate occasions already, the Pioneers have now brought home the weekly G-MAC honor three times so far this season.
In Thursday's close loss to Kentucky Wesleyan College, Kallas posted her third double-double performance of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
She followed that up with a career-high 21 points, and added five rebounds in Saturday's 77-64 win over Trevecca Nazarene.
