Great Midwest Athletic Conference Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Monday, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Malone University senior
Alexis Hutchison was named the Great Midwest Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week after her performance in a pair of home games for the Pioneers last week.
Hutchison scored 15 points, dished out 5 assists, and grabbed 3 rebounds in Wednesday home opening 70-66 win against Seton Hill.
She followed that up Saturday with a game-high 21 points in the 96-56 win against Pitt-Johnstown. Hutchison also pulled down 11 rebounds to earn her first double-double of the season. She also nearly completed a triple-double as she finished with a season-high 8 assists.
