CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Cedarville Yellow Jackets continued to strive for a first round home match in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament on Thursday when they defeated the Malone University men's soccer team 6-1.

The Yellow Jackets (5-1-1, 5-1-1 G-MAC) kept their foot on the gas offensively with 22 total shots. The Pioneers (1-7-0, 1-7-0 G-MAC) got their lone goal of the match on a penalty kick by Patrick Alvarez.

McFeaters had another attempt that was saved by the Yellow Jacket keeper in the 19th minute, and Cedarville responded with a goal on their next shot in the 27th minute. The Yellow Jackets netted two more first half goals, both on corner kicks, before the conclusion of the first half.

Mason Spencer took his first shot of the season in the 39th minute, but it was turned away.

Cedarville put up two more goals in the first six minutes of the second half to take a commanding advantage.
