FINDLAY, Ohio – The Malone University men's soccer team dropped their inaugural match of the 2020-21 season at the University of Findlay by a score of 1-0. The Pioneers fall to 0-1 this season and the Oilers of Findlay win their first Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) match of the season.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
Goalkeeper Nick Wilhelm made saves on shots in the 16th and 18th minutes of the game to keep the game knotted up at 0-0. Wilhelm made another pair of saves on an Oiler scoring opportunity in the 29th minute.

Findlay came through for the only score of the game following a shot that hit the post in the 39th minute and off the rebound, a foul in the box occurred. This led to a penalty shot and goal by Findlay's Patryk Kibler.

Antoine Leheron and Patrick Brightbill put shots on goal coming out of the break, but both were saved by the opposing goalkeeper. Leheron made one more attempt in the 86th minute to tie the game, but the shot missed top left and Findlay held on for the 1-0 victory.
