Christina Williams Named G-MAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- On Thursday the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. 

Malone University graduate student Christina Williams earned the award after her performance over the weekend at the Music City Invitational. 

Williams sat tied for fourth-place overall after Monday's round, but she fired the only under par round on the course Tuesday to finish second overall. 

The Pioneers, with a 36-hole team score of 625, finished eighth overall in the sixteen team field that was full of strong competition from both in-region and out of region teams. MU slotted in ahead of Great Midwest Athletic Conference rivals Walsh University, Ashland University, and Trevecca Nazarene University.
