Malone University veteran head coach
Ken Hyland is pleased to announce that Berlin Hiland High School senior Dylan Kaufman signed his National Letter of Intent last week to join the program in the fall of 2020.
Kaufman recently completed his senior season by leading the Hawks to an OHSAA Division III State Championship and a 15th place individual finish. Throughout the season, he posted a 74.1 scoring average and won five tournaments, including the Eastern District where he earned Player of the Year honors after firing a 71.
Kaufman was named First Team All-District and First Team All Inter-Valley Conference (IVC) all four years of high school. In addition to a State Championship in 2019, he led Hiland to a fourth-place finish in 2018 and back-to-back IVC, Sectional, and District Championships.
A standout in the classroom as well as on the course, Kaufman was named Academic All-Ohio and is a member of the Honor Roll and the National Honors Society. He is currently undecided upon a major at Malone.
Dylan is the son of Austin and Kari Kaufman. His father, who is the boys golf coach at Hiland, played golf for Malone and Coach Hyland from 1994-97.
