The Malone University volleyball team earned its second three-set sweep in as many days, delivering a 25-15, 25-16, 25-21 victory in front of a sizeable Senior Day crowd Saturday afternoon in Osborne Hall. With the win, Malone improved to 9-18 overall on the season and evened its record at 4-4 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Pioneers also climbed to seventh place in the G-MAC Standings.

Prior to the match, five Pioneer seniors,
Faith Lau,
Sierra Lau,
Erica Roberts,
Hannah Eliason, and
Sydney Black, were honored for their contributions to the program.
Faith Lau, who entered the match with 997 career digs, eclipsed 1,000 digs early on in the match.

The Pioneers never trailed in the first set as they showed their might from the opening serve. Senior middle hitter
Hannah Eliason totaled seven of Malone's 18 kills in the set.

After hitting .417 in the first set, Malone registered a .481 attack percentage in the second. The Battlers hurried to a 6-2 lead before the Pioneers turned the momentum during a 7-0
Savannah Line service run, which featured a pair of aces. Malone added a pair of 4-0 runs and
Faith Lau tallied six kills in the set as it opened a 2-0 advantage. The Battlers kept it close in the third set, but the Pioneer attacked proved to be too much.

Malone finished with 48 kills for the second consecutive match and a .346 attacking percentage. All 17 Pioneers entered the match and 12 different players scored at least one point.

Senior hitters
Hannah Eliason and
Faith Lau played well in their final collegiate home contest. Eliason totaled 14 kills on a sterling .609 attack percentage to go along with three blocks. Lau collected 10 kills and eight digs, including the milestone 1,000th.

Kayla Jarosz added eight kills on a .500 attacking percentage while
Rachel Santos and
Anna Hopple each produced four kills. Junior setter
Abbie Swaino totaled three kills and 17 assists while
Elizabeth Selleny equaled her classmate with 17 helpers.

Sydney Black finished with nine digs and a pair of aces in her final match in Osborne Hall.
Sierra Lau added six digs and an assist. Freshman
Amber Robinson tallied her first career service ace in the match.
