The Malone University men's soccer team battled to the end, falling 1-0 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest against Cedarville University on Saturday night.
The venue was moved to the Athletes In Action Complex in Xenia, Ohio due to weather conditions.
The Pioneers repelled the Yellow Jackets' until the second half in the 83
rd minute with a late goal by Sammy Kilimann (2) with a chip over the goalkeeper which was assisted from Bryce Childers.
The Pioneers kept the match scoreless until the very end.
Nathan McFeaters managed to have two shots-on-goal in a defensively played match.
Cedarville (3-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 G-MAC) held a 12-7 edge in total shots and a 3-3 tie on shots-on-goal.
