Malone NotesÂ
- The Pioneers are coming off of a pair of impressive wins over Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins last weekend in which they recorded a .299 hitting percentage while holding their opponents to an .075 mark.
- The five-pronged attack of Faith Lau, Veronica Gehring, Hannah Eliason, Mallory Adams, and Rachel Santos was firing on all cylinders, combining to hit .341 as a unit.
- Individually, all five hit at least .279 over the two wins, including Santos, who registered a .600 figure. All five recorded at least two kills per set, including Lau who averaged three kills over five sets.

- Defensively, Malone lowered its league-leading opponents' hitting percentage to .147 on the season. The Pioneers could drop the figure even lower when they face a Cedarville squad that is last in the G-MAC in team hitting (.106)
- Led by Eliason and Adams who go 1-2 in the G-MAC as the only players to average at least a block per set, the Pioneers lead the G-MAC in total blocks (2.20 per set).
- Led by libero Maggie Hamrock, who ranks 4th in the G-MAC with 4.84 digs per set, Malone leads the conference in digs as well, producing 19.00 digs per set as a team.
- Malone lost in four sets to Cedarville in the only meeting between the two schools last season. In 2016, the Pioneers were swept twice by the Jackets and were eliminated by Cedarville in the G-MAC semifinal.
- This season, Malone is 3-3 away from home and 1-2 in true road games.
