In his final tune-up before next week's NCAA Division II National Championship Meet, Malone University track and field senior thrower
Duke Taylor won the discus competition on Thursday afternoon at Ohio Wesleyan University's Great Lakes Elite Meet.
Taylor's heave of 55.28 meters (181' 4") was over 23 feet farther than Thursday's second-place finisher. The impressive mark was also just over four feet shy of the personal-record toss of 185' 9" that Taylor registered last week at Grand Valley State University.

Ashton Dulin will travel to Bradenton, Florida next week to compete in the Division II Outdoor National Championships.  Dulin is scheduled to compete in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles preliminaries on Thursday, May 25th at 8:40 p.m. The finals of the event will then follow on Saturday, May 27th at 7:30 p.m. Taylor will compete in the discus competition at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26th.
