The Malone University's men's and women's track & field teams sent student-athletes to High Point University's VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina and Carnegie Mellon University's Quad Meet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Sophomore Ashton Dulin provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship Meet in the 400-meter hurdles and broke the Great Midwest Athletic Conference records in both the 400-meter hurdles and the 110-meter hurdles at High Point.

His time of 53.391 seconds in the 400 hurdles earned him a third-place finish among a field of 19 competitors, including a number of Division I student-athletes.  Dulin had originally set the G-MAC mark in the event at Muskingum University's Amy Adams Memorial last Saturday with a time of 53.83 seconds.

In the 110 hurdles, Dulin clocked a new personal-best of 14.53 seconds.  The performance placed him third among 13 entrants and was just .03 seconds off the Division II provisional-qualifying standard.  It was also .03 seconds better than the G-MAC record of 14.56 seconds, set by Cedarville University's Cory Caldwell in 2014.

Freshman Michelia Tanner also left her mark on the conference record book at Carnegie Mellon as she broke the G-MAC discus record for the second consecutive week with a toss of 137'10".  The performance moves Tanner up to fourth on the Pioneers' all-time list in the event.
