Results
The Malone University indoor track & field teams competed at Kent State University's Tune-up Meet on Saturday. In their final competition before next week's Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships, numerous Pioneers posted personal records while several others earned spots on Malone's Top 10 all-time performances list.
Freshman
Olga Branney placed second among 20 competitors in the high jump with a mark of 5' 5". The impressive leap was just one inch shy of last week's school-recording tying performance for Branney at 5' 6".
Ashton Dulin took second in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 8.17 seconds. The performance was just .06 off the Pioneer school record in the event and .03 off his personal-best. Dulin also took ninth in the 200 meters with a new personal record time of 22.58 seconds.
Additional Women's Highlights
Freshman
Rebekah Carr took ninth in the 400 meters with a new collegiate personal-best of 59.67 seconds
Katie Grimes also clocked a new P.R.in the event, placing 11th in 59.85 seconds. Grimes' performance moves her to eighth on Malone's all-time list in the 400.
Senior
Erika Rector placed fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.29.
Jaylyn Vance took tenth in the long jump with a leap of 17' 4.75". She also registered a new personal-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.21 seconds.
Elisha Cooper moved into a tie for eighth on the Pioneers' all-time performance list In the 60 meters with a mark of 8.29 seconds.
Maggie Poorman took over the No. 8 position on Malone's all-time performance list in the 200 meters after clocking a time of 26.68 seconds.
Additional Men's Highlights
Desmond Sallee won the qualifying heat of the 60 meters with a time of 7.26 seconds. He then moved on to the preliminaries where he clocked a new personal-best time of 7.17 seconds. The performance moves Sallee up to ninth on the Pioneers' all-time list in the event.
Logan Studer placed fourth in the unseeded pole vault competition with a mark of 13' 11.25".

Malone will travel to Cedarville University next Saturday to compete in the G-MAC Indoor Championships.
