Brian Stock enters his fourth season as the Pioneers head coach
-The Pioneers are returning 14 players from last year's squad, seven of which started 12 or more games.
-Senior goalie
Jon Crabbs returns as the starting goalie for the Pioneers this season. He played outstanding as a junior last year where he finished the regular season ranked first in the NCAA Division II in saves per game (7.63) and in total saves (122). He also collected All-GLIAC Honorable Mention, GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team, and OCSA Academic All-Ohio Division II/NAIA Second Team honors.
-Malone lost their season opener to Slippery Rock University (PA) on Thursday by the final score of 2-1. Senior midfielder
Jordan LoPresti netted the Pioneers goal, which marked his first goal of his career.
Cedarville Notes:-The 2015 season will mark the Yellow Jackets' head coach Brett Faro's third year at the helm
-Last season, the Yellow Jackets defeated David & Elkins College 1-0 in the G-MAC men's soccer championship to win back-to-back conference titles. Â
-The top leading scorer from a season ago was Sophomore Connor Gilmour who finished with 32 points (14 goals, four assists).
-CU returns 15 players from last year's squad, six of which started 16 or more games.
-Tuesday's game will mark the third match of the season for CU. They won 3-0 against Bellarmine University (KY) in their season opener and lost 2-0 to the University of Indianapolis. Â
-Last season, CU had six players that were named to the all-conference team. Sophomore Connor Gilmour was named offensive player of the year and junior Jarrett Kersten was named defensive player of the year.
-The Yellow Jackets were picked to finish first in the preseason G-MAC poll Â
