Incoming Class Members for Malone Men's Soccer Unveiled

CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's soccer team has made several additions to the roster for the 2026 season.
 
Macauley Baker is a graduate of Lake Center Christian High School. He was a three-time All-Stark County selection and three-time All-District honoree (one First Team for each) and was named First Team All-Portage Trails Conference (PTC). He led the Tigers to a PTC championship, district title and regional runner-up and was a four-year scholar athlete.
 
Carter Burton is a product of Louisville High School and was named Stark County Division III Player of the Year as a junior and senior as well as Greater Akron First Team and All-County First Team in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
 
Gabriel Clarke is originally from Jamaica, but enters Malone from Andrews Osborne Academy. He had academic honors for both semesters of his senior year and his prep premier league team won the west division.
 
Julius Eckmann competed for FC Freiburg as well as two other clubs in Germany. Last season, he totaled 10 goals and 11 assists on the year.
 
Ethan Girdwood scored 39 goals and recorded 34 assists in his career for Dayton Christian School. The team won a state championship and they were four-time district qualifier. Girdwood is a four-time All-Conference and All-District student-athlete. He played for CUP, a club team out of Cincinnati, where he scored 17 goals with 12 assists.
 
Drew Kapsak is a transfer from Southern Illinois College. He was named team captain as a freshman and was apart of the UPSL Gateway Division Championship team in 2025. He competes for Lou Fusz Athletic on the MLSNext circuit. Kapsak was selected as an NJCAA Academic All-American for his work in the classroom.
 
Valentino Makubele most recently played club for Randburg AFC in the GDL top division in South Africa. His team placed third in the GDL and was second in the Bayhill Premier Cup in 2025 and 2026. Individually, Makubele was the Randburg AFC Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025.
 
Landon Martin is a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School where he played forward for the Bulldogs. He helped lead Stow-Munroe Falls to the second round of the OHSAA Tournament in 2025.
 
Felipe Matteis Albertim competed for FC Freiburg, an elite club team in Germany. He started in 20 matches and scored five goals with ten assists for the squad.
 
Boe McPeak is a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. He won the coaches' award and was a scholar athlete all varsity seasons. Off the field, McPeak was a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Grant Millsap is coming off a Federal League title with GlenOak High School in his senior season. Millsap was team captain and Division I Stark County Player of the Year as well as Federal League Player of the Year. He was First Team All-Federal League and All-Greater Akron Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (GASSCA).
 
Colin Nelson is a student-athlete from Dayton who was a four-year varsity player and three-year team captain. He was named the Offensive Player of the Year and was an honors student.
 
Charlie Noovao-Martin was a team captain for Kawana Waters State College and competed for Buderin Wanderers FC in the Sunshine Coast Men's Premier League in Queensland, Australia. He is a right back and center midfielder.
 
Samuel Schuler is a transfer student-athlete after stops at Louisburg College and appeared in the NCCAA National Championship Game while at Boyce College. He recorded an assist in the national semifinal match.
 
Bryce Stillion was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Marysville High School. He competes for the Ohio Premier MPL club team and received the leadership award and excellence in sportsmanship scholarship.
 
Hunter Terrell is a goalkeeper from Belpre High School. He made an average of 16.2 saves per match last season for the Golden Eagles, a team that ended the year with nine victories.
 
Brody Thornsberry is a striker from Massillon Washington High School. The Tigers were 5-6-3 in the fall of 2025.
 
Andrew Walubengo, originally of Kenya, comes to Malone with a vast international experience. The defender has played in the United States at the Black Rock Residential Academy and the Ligi Ndogo Football Club in Kenya, Spain and the United Kingdom.
 
Luis Zapata of Marysville High School will play the wing for the Pioneers. The Monarchs were 4-10-4 overall in his senior season.
 
Luis Zin was named the Defensive Player of the Year at Akron North High School and helped lead his team to the district finals. He received the team leadership award as well.
