CANTON, Ohio - Jhoan Chavez has been added to the Malone University men's soccer staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach starting in the 2026 season.
 
Chavez is from Miami, Florida and attended Coral Reef Senior High School. He is a graduate of Elmira College in the class of 2026 as a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing. Chavez was named Empire 8 All-Conference First Team in 2025 as well as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District. He was also on the 2023 Empire 8 All-Tournament Team and was selected as the Tournament MVP. Academically, Chavez was listed on the Empire 8 President's List.
 
The Pioneers open play in 2026 with a home match against Salem University on August 27 beginning at 5:00 P.M. The action can be seen live at King Field or on FloCollege.
