Men’s Soccer Defeats Ohio Dominican 2-1 in GLIAC Contest

The Malone University men's soccer team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Ohio Dominican University by the final score of 2-1 on Friday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

Senior Matt Piccioni crossed the ball to midfielder Jordan LoPresti who drilled a shot over the goal keeper's head at the 20:31 mark to give the Pioneers an early 1-0 advantage in the first half.

21 minutes later, ODU's Michael Smigel shot it off the post into the back of the net to tally his first goal on the season, tying the game at 1-1 with four minutes left in the first half.

The score remained 1-1 at the half.
