Brian Stock enters his fourth season as the Pioneers' head coach.
-The Pioneers are returning 14 players from last year's squad, seven of which started 12 or more games.
-Malone is coming off a 2-1 double-overtime victory at Tiffin University on Friday and a 2-1 overtime loss at the University of Findlay on Sunday.
Nick Astalos scored at Tiffin and at Findlay, while
Sam Tonelli tallied the game-winning goal and collected an assist at Tiffin.
-The leading scorer thus far for Malone is
Nick Astalos who has registered five goals (10 points). He is currently 11
th in the GLIAC in points (10).Â
-Senior goalkeeper
Jon Crabbs currently has 55 saves on the season. He is currently first in the GLIAC in saves (55).Â
Northwood Notes:-Doug Carter has been coaching the Timberwolves since 2001 and has compiled a 109-108-23 record.
-NU returns 20 players from last year's squad, six of which started 15 or more games.
-The Timberwolves won 1-0 over Saginaw Valley State to win the GLIAC Tournament Championship last season, but lost 5-2 to Saginaw Valley State during the second round of the 2014 NCAA DII Tournament.
-The Timberwolves leading scorer a season ago was junior Keaton Levock; he had nine goals and three assists (21 points)
-The leading scorer for the Timberwolves is Mayowa Olufeko who has tallied nine goals (18 points). He is second in the GLIAC in goals (9) and third in points (18).
-Goalkeeper Johannes Sterobo is first in the GLIAC in save percentage (.838) and in goals-against average (0.69)
-NU is currently first in the GLIAC standings.

Saginaw Valley State Notes:-Andy Wagstaff enters his first season as the Cardinals' head coach. Prior to SVSU, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Division I Oakland University (MI).
-SVSU lost 1-0 to Northwood in the GLIAC Tournament Championship game, but then beat Northwood 5-2 in the second round of the NCAA DII Tournament last season. The Cardinals made it to the 2014 NCAA DII Sweet 16, but lost 3-0 to Quincy University (IL).
-SVSU returns 15 players from last year's squad, five of which started 16 or more games.
-The Cardinals had six seniors on last season's squad, one of whom was Craig Neal. He was SVSU's leading scorer who finished the season with nine goals and seven assists (25 points).Â
-The leading scorer thus far for the Cardinals is senior Tyler Channell who has collected 11 goals and 10 assists (32 points). He is first in the GLIAC in goals (11), assists (10), and points (32).
-Goalkeeper Alexandre Bouillennec is second in the GLIAC in save percentage (.789) and goals-against average (0.86).
-Saginaw Valley State is currently second in the GLIAC standings.

Day With The PioneersThe Malone University Soccer teams will welcome the Canton-Akron Soccer Club to Pioneer Field on Sunday October 11
th as the Pioneer men take on conference opponent Saginaw Valley State University (MI) at 12:30 p.m. Following the men, the Malone women match up with Northwood University (MI) at 3:00 p.m.
This year's Day with the Pioneers will have CAK players and their families taking part in pre-game activities with the Malone men's and women's teams, the CAK soccer Olympics competition, along with other contests and giveaways.
Malone Soccer will also be selling supporter scarves and Nom Nom Popcorn will be onsite to help raise money for the men's soccer team.
