Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Pioneers Fall to Findlay in GLIAC Action

The Malone University men's soccer team lost at home Friday night to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent University of Findlay 2-0.

The Pioneers now fall to 1-6-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the GLIAC while Findlay improves to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the GLIAC.

The game was competitive and physical from the start but the Oilers were able to sneak in a goal with seconds left in the first half to take a 1-0 lead at the intermission.

In the second half, the second Findlay goal came on an own goal as a Pioneer player unfortunately tapped one in off another player.

Goalie Jon Crabbs continues to be impressive in the net as he had 10 saves on the night. Crabbs is currently ranked first in the GLIAC and seventh in Division II in saves per game (45).

The Pioneers will continue conference play as they host NCAA DII #16 Tiffin University on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
