Match Results

The Malone University women's tennis team earned many more game wins in its second contest of the year, as compared to its season opener yesterday, but still lost a 9-0 home decision to Ferris State University (MI) at the Harvard Courts in Canton on Saturday afternoon.  With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 0-2 (0-2 GLIAC) while the Bulldogs improved to 2-0 (2-0 GLIAC).

Kaley Kahoun earned the most game wins on the day for Malone but lost a 6-3, 6-4 decision at #2 singles.  Asia Harris also battled strongly at #1 singles in a 6-4, 6-2 loss while Janelle Linder also posted six game wins in her 6-4, 6-2 setback.  Harris and Kahoun gave their #1 doubles opponents a good match as well in an 8-4 loss.

Malone will close out its three-match weekend homestand when they host perennial GLIAC power Northwood University (MI) on Sunday in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
