Women's Tennis Loses 9-0 Match At Walsh

Krista Leonard (above) fell short in a 6-2, 6-2 loss against her Walsh #6 singles opponent on Monday. Christine Miller (action photo not yet available) lost a tough 6-3, 7-5 decision at #5 singles as Malone fell to the Cavaliers 9-0.

The Malone University women's tennis team lost a GLIAC contest on the road to Walsh University by the score of 9-0 on Monday. With the loss, the Pioneers dropped to 1-8 overall on the season (0-7 GLIAC) while Walsh improved to 6-2 (6-2 GLIAC).

Christine Miller, playing at #5 singles, took her Walsh opponent to a 6-3, 7-5 decision but lost in a valiant effort while Krista Leonard posted four game victories in her 6-2, 6-2 loss at #6 singles.

Malone will next compete in a home conference contest against Lake Erie College on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
