The Malone University women's tennis team lost a home conference contest to GLIAC opponent Lake Superior State University (MI) on Sunday by the score of 8-1.  With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 0-7 overall on the season (0-6 GLIAC) while the Lakers improved to 4-2 overall (4-2 GLIAC).

Asia Harris posted the lone win on the day for Malone as she netted a three-set come-from-behind win over her #1 singles opponent.  After losing the first set narrowly, by a 7-6 count, Harris rallied for a convincing 6-2 win in the second set and then took the 1-0 third-set supertiebreaker.

Janelle Linder and Christine Miller, playing at #2 doubles, came the closest at posting a Malone doubles win but lost an 8-4 contest against their Laker foes.

Malone will next compete in an away non-conference match at the College of Wooster on Wednesday (Sept. 18th) at 4:30 p.m.
