The Malone University women's tennis team lost an 8-1 decision on the road to non-conference opponent Otterbein University on Tuesday evening.  With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 0-4 overall on the year (remaining at 0-3 in the GLIAC) while the Cardinals improved to 2-0 on the season.

Janelle Linder pocketed the team's only win on the day as she earned a straight-set 6-3, 6-2 victory at #3 singles.

In addition, Ana Hernandez and Krista Leonard nearly claimed a win at #3 doubles but fell just short in a 9-8 (7-4) loss.

Malone will next compete in a home conference match against Michigan Tech University on Friday at 12:00 p.m.
