2013-14 Malone Women's Tennis Schedule

The Malone University women's tennis team has unveiled its schedule for the upcoming season.  2013-14 will mark the Pioneers' second year of competition in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and first year as full, active members of NCAA Division II.

The squad, under the direction of third year head coach Brian Mogus, will open up the season at home on Friday, September 6 with a 12:00 p.m. conference match against Grand Valley State (MI) University.  Five of the Pioneers' next six matches will be at home against GLIAC opponents with a non-conference away match mixed in on September 10 at Otterbein College.

Following the early-season homestand, Malone will travel to the College of Wooster on September 19 and then make the short trip to North Canton on September 23 to face rival Walsh University at 3:00 p.m.

The Pioneers' final regular-season home match of the fall will take place on Saturday, September 28 against Lake Erie College.  The squad will then hit the road for seven away matches over the next two weeks, wrapping up the regular season on October 13 at Hillsdale (MI) College.

The GLIAC Tournament will take place October 25-27.  Malone will be eligible to compete in the event if it finishes among the Top 8 in the conference standings.

While the program's primary season of competition is the fall, Malone will also participate in several spring matches, including a February 15 contest with Lewis (IL) University and March 31 match-ups with Davis & Elkins (WV) College and Alderson-Broaddus (WV) University.
