Collecting its third straight win in as many attempts during a spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, the Malone University women's tennis team defeated Trine University (IN) on Tuesday by the score of 6-3.  With the win, Malone improved to 10-13 overall on the 2012-13 year while Trine fell to 2-2.

Marie Konstan, at #6 singles, did not lose a game as she posted a 6-0, 6-0 win.  She and her #3 doubles partner, Asia Harris, were the only two Pioneers to win both singles and doubles as they edged their doubles foes 9-8.  Harris also won at #1 singles 6-3, 6-4.

Erika Lester also swept her singles opponent (#2) 6-0, 6-0 while Kim Knisley (#3) and Janelle Linder (#5) also posted singles wins.

Malone will be back in action on Wednesday with a pair of matches -- vs. Elizabethtown (PA) at 8:00 a.m. and vs. St. Vincent (PA) at 1:00 p.m.
