Match Results

The Malone University women's tennis team closed out its fall season on Sunday with an 8-1 loss at GLIAC opponent Hillsdale College (MI).  The Pioneers, with the loss, finished with a 2-15 overall record and a 1-13 mark in the GLIAC while the Chargers improved to 7-6 overall and 7-6 in GLIAC play.

Asia Harris captured Malone's only win on the day -- at #1 singles.  After losing the first set by a score of 6-2, Harris rebounded to take the second set 7-6.  Then, in the third set, she battled to an 11-9 win to take the match.

Janelle Linder, at #3 singles, lost 6-3, 6-1 and also battled to a tough loss with partner Christine Miller, at #2 doubles, falling by the narrow margin of 9-7.

While the Pioneers' primary fall campaign has concluded, the squad wil compete in a number of matches during the spring season as well.
