Competing in its second of three weekend GLIAC matches in Michigan on Saturday, the Malone University women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss at the hands of Ferris State University (MI).  With the loss, Malone fell to 1-6 on the season (0-5 GLIAC) while FSU improved to 4-1 overall (4-1 GLIAC).
A number of matches on the day were close battles including the #2 singles duel between Malone's 
Erika Lester and FSU's Tabitha Simpson.  Simpson pulled out the first set 6-4 but Lester responded with a 6-2 second-set win before Simpson captured the 1-0 third-set super tiebreaker and the match win.
In addition, Lester teamed with 
Kim Knisley at #1 doubles and the duo gave their opponents everything they could handle in a hard-fought 8-6 loss.
