Pioneers Fall To Otterbein 6-3 In Home Contest

Senior Marie Konstan (above) teamed with freshman Asia Harris to post an 8-6 win at #3 doubles during Malone's 6-3 team loss at home to Otterbein on Wednesday.


The Malone University women's tennis team, after competing in three tough GLIAC contests in northern Michigan last Saturday through Monday, squared off against its second non-conference opponent of the young fall season on Wednesday but fell short to Otterbein University in the home contest by the score of 6-3. With the loss, Malone fell to 1-4 overall on the season (0-3 GLIAC) while Otterbein improved to 2-0 on the year.

Erika Lester and Kaley Kahoun, competing at #2 and #4 singles, respectively, earned singles wins for the Pioneers while the #3 doubles team of Asia Harris and Marie Konstan captured a doubles victory for the Malone.
