Pioneers Drop 7-2 Home Contest To Cedarville University

Junior Kim Knisley earned a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 win at #1 singles over her Cedarville opponent Tuesday. Malone lost the match to the Yellow Jackets by a score of 7-2.


The Malone University women's tennis team lost a 7-2 home contest to the visiting Cedarville University Yellow Jackets at the Harvard Courts in Canton on Tuesday.  Coming into the match, the two teams sported identical 7-7 overall records.  With the loss, the Pioneers fell to below .500 for the first time in nearly a month with an overall record of 7-8 while Cedarville improved to 8-7 on the season.

Malone earned its two victories at the top of the singles lineup as #1 Kim Knisley earned a hard-fought 7-5, 7-5 win and #2 Alanna Phillips pocketed a solid 6-1, 6-0 victory.
