The Malone University women's tennis team lost an 8-1 decision to Walsh University in a home contest at the Harvard Courts in Canton on Thursday afternoon. With the loss, Malone dropped to 7-10 on the season while the Cavaliers improved to 11-5 overall.
Julianna Blaisdell earned the lone victory for the Pioneers on the day as she emerged with a 7-5, 6-2 win at #6 singles. The #1 and #3 doubles teams for Malone nearly pulled out wins but each lost by just two games, 9-7 and 8-6, respectively.
