The Malone University women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 home loss to Ohio Dominican University at the Green Tennis Club in Green, Ohio Saturday evening. With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 6-10 overall and to 1-9 in the GLIAC while the Panthers improved to 6-4 overall and to 6-4 in GLIAC play.
Asia Harris, competing at #1 singles, earned a hard-fought come-from-behind win by the score of 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 and a pair of Malone doubles teams hung tough with 8-5 losses but the Pioneers could not overcome the solid play of the visitors.
Harris' singles victory marked her 10th singles win of the season, a team best, and was her eighth at the #1 singles slot (two other wins came at #2 singles).
