The Malone University women's tennis team lost a GLIAC home match to Ashland University by the score of 8-1 on Friday. With the loss, Malone fell to 6-9 overall on the season and to 1-8 in GLIAC play while the Eagles improved to 8-1 overall and to 8-1 in the GLIAC.
Asia Harris, playing at #1 singles, pocketed the Pioneers' lone victory on the day with a 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 triumph. Harris, along with #3 doubles teammate
Marie Konstan, nearly picked up another win for the Malone cause but lost a hard-fought 9-8 battle to their Eagle opponents.
Kaley Kahoun, at #4 singles, posted a first-set 7-6 win but lost in three sets to her opponent.
