Women's Tennis Loses To Wittenberg 5-2 In Rain-Shortened Match


The Malone University women's tennis team lost to Wittenberg University by the score of 5-2 in a rain-shortened match on Wednesday.  The contest was the final match for the team during the Pioneers' spring break trip in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  With the loss, Malone fell to 1-4 on the season while Wittenberg improved to 10-0 overall.

Alanna Phillips teamed with Kim Knisley at #1 doubles to earn an 8-5 while Marie Konstan and Madison DeWeerd, at #3 doubles, earned the team's only other win in the match with an 8-5 decision.

Although all three doubles matches were played, only three of the singles matches were completed.
