Taylor, a senior from East Canton, Ohio (East Canton H.S.), broke his own school record and the G-MAC record in the weight throw on Friday at the University of Findlay's Northwest Ohio Invitational.

Taylor's impressive heave of 61' 1.5" surpassed the old Malone record of 59' 7.5" which Taylor had set in 2014 and it ranks as the tenth best performance in NCAA Division II this season. 

Taylor has now broken the conference's weight throw record in three consecutive meets.
