TIFFIN, Ohio - The Malone University men's and women's cross country programs traveled west Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin, Ohio for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Preview Meet on Friday. This course is a well-known high school course throughout the state of Ohio.

The women went off first at 6:00 P.M. and had a great performance despite a fourth-place team finish.
Rachel Whetstone led the Pioneers with a 6-kilometer time of 23:49 to place tenth overall. The next finisher was
Brooklyn McIntyre, who crossed the line in 24:12. Mclntyre mentioned that "I was excited to see and run on a new course and am excited to run it at the G-MAC Championships!" Head Coach

The men's race was next and the Pioneers secured a third-place finish overall. The team has now placed in the top-three in all three meets they have run in so far this season. Junior
Yahya Jawadi and senior
Xander Heil together led the men of Malone with an 8k time of 24:53. "It was good to see the course and get a preview of what the G-MAC Championship meet will be like," Heil stated post-race.

In summary, both teams had great weather, good performances, and are hoping to improve as they travel to Queens University in North Carolina for the Royal Cross Country Challenge on October 9.
