CANTON, Ohio – Malone University is proud to welcome Malone Sport Minute Host,
Tyler Twining as a Graduate Assistant for the Sports Information Department.
Twining is a 2026 graduate of Malone University where he studied Communication Arts with a Sport Management Minor. During his undergrad, he spent a lot of time running on the cross country and track & field teams where he ran a PR of 25:36 in cross country, and currently holds the indoor 800-meter school record of 1:53.17.
Twining has won seven National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) All-American awards and four Christian National Titles. He has won the prestigious the NCCAA Elvin and Joyce King Award and Malone's coveted Mr. Pioneer Award.
Outside of the classroom and the track, Twining was seen working several Malone Athletic events from enduring warm soccer games in the fall, loud gyms during basketball games, and cold and snowy lacrosse games. He would host a weekly recap show the Malone Sports Minute, which recapped the athletics week and featured athletes to talk about their sport.
Malone is glad to welcome back Twining back to the athletic program and he has this to say, "And this… is going be another fun year."
