LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the fourth consecutive season, the Malone University volleyball team was tabbed as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award winner.
 
The Pioneers, under the direction of then-head coach Rafael Gonzalez, were one of 1,432 programs across the collegiate and high school levels to earn the honor in the 2025-26 academic year. In order to be eligible, a program must maintain a team cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
 
Malone looks ahead to the 2026 season under the direction of Head Coach Lauren Allaway in her first season at the helm of the volleyball program.
