Several Additions Made to the Malone Swimming & Diving Teams

CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University swimming & diving programs, under the direction of first-year Head Coach Delaney Ferrell, have announced several additions to the roster ahead of the 2026-27 season.
 
Katalina Gullian comes to Malone from Massillon, Ohio. She was a member of the Massillon YMCA Gators Swim Team. Gullian joins the Pioneers as a strong competitor in individual medley and distance freestyle events, but has the ability to swim any length. At the 2026 Great Lake Zone YMCA Championship, Gullian had a strong performance, with a first-place finish in the 1650-yard Freestyle, a second-place finish in the 1000-yard Freestyle, and other top-ten finishes at the championship meet.
 
Alex Lewton comes to Malone men's team from Louisville, Ohio. He competed at Louisville High School where he had strong performances in the 200-yard Freestyle and 100-yard Butterfly. He also contributed to the Leopards' relay team make it to the Division I Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) District Meet. Lewton will be a strong addition for the Pioneers with his talent across middle-distance events.
 
Blake Nixon joins the Pioneers from Shelby, Ohio where he swam on the Shelby High School team. He contributed for the Whippets in sprint freestyle, backstroke and butterfly events. Here at Malone, Nixon will contribute to the men's team across the board, and will get some new experiences in the pool.
