The Malone University Athletics Department welcomed Malone alumna Delaney Ferrell as the eighth swimming & diving coach in program history in the summer of 2026. She had previously served as an assistant coach at GlenOak High School and was an Instructional Support Staff member at the elementary school level.

Ferrell was a member of the Malone University swimming & diving team from 2019-24. She was a part of the women's team that placed third at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)/Mountain East Conference (MEC) Championships in 2019-20 and a fourth-place finish in 2020-21. She is a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that is inside the top-five in school history.
