CSC Honors Seven from Malone Cross Country and Track & Field as Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Seven members of the Malone University cross country and track & field programs have been selected as College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.
 
From the women's teams, senior Jenna Cassidy and sophomore Allea Graves represented Malone. There were five Pioneer men on the Academic All-District team, including junior Xander Heil, junior Brylan Holland, senior Hayden Schmidt, senior Phil Stupka and junior Gavin Tribelo.
 
Cassidy was named All-American by the NCCAA during the cross country, indoor (DMR) and outdoor (3000-meter steeplechase) track & field seasons. The native of Minerva, Ohio was also a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in the 2025-26 season. She was a member of two NCCAA national championship teams (cross country and outdoor track & field).
 
Graves was the lone participant to qualify for the NCAA Championship event for the indoor 400-meter dash. She was tabbed as a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honoree in both indoor and outdoor track & field this season with seven NCCAA All-American awards in total. Graves was chosen as the Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet at the NCCAA Championships and was First Team All-Conference in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) with an individual conference title in the indoor and outdoor 400-meter events. The Canton, Ohio native is a six-time school record holder.
 
Heil, from Urichsville, Ohio, won four NCCAA All-American awards across three different sport seasons. He was on the podium for cross country, the indoor mile, indoor DMR team and in the 4x800-meter relay in the outdoor campaign. His 2025-26 was also highlighted by a Second Team All-Conference nod in the G-MAC with a second-place finish in the outdoor 1500-meter run. In the classroom, Heil was named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA and was a three-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete this school year.
 
Holland, representing East Canton, Ohio, had a standout 2025-26 on the course and in classroom. Holland was apart of three NCCAA team championships across cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field and was named NCCAA All-American in the indoor 800-meter run, outdoor 4x400-meter relay and 4x800-meter relay. He was selected as an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in all three sport seasons as well.
 
Schmidt wrapped up a highly-decorated career in cross country and track & field in 2025-26. The Sidney, Ohio native won five NCCAA All-American awards this year, including cross country, the indoor mile, 3000-meter run and DMR, and the outdoor 5000-meter run. His performance on the cross country course garnered USTFCCCA All-Region honors and Second Team All-Conference in the G-MAC. Schmidt was an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in all three sport seasons and was selected as a USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree.
 
Stupka, a native of Butler, Ohio, had an award-filled season on the off the track. He was able to secure three NCCAA Indoor All-American awards in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 4x200-meter relay. At the national championship meet, Stupka won the prestigious Wheeler Award as a part of the GamePlan4Life (GP4L) award series from the NCCAA. The sprinter also enjoyed Second Team All-Conference honors with his performance in the indoor 200-meter dash. In the classroom, Stupka was a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete and holds four school records.
 
Tribelo, a thrower from Salineville, Ohio, earned three All-American awards at NCCAA Championship events. He earned All-American status in both the indoor and outdoor shot put as well as the discus in the outdoor season. Along with leading two NCCAA team national championships on the field side of the equation, Tribelo was also a two-time NCCAA Athlete of the Week in 2025-26. He was named a Scholar-Athlete by the NCCAA for indoor and outdoor track & field.
