INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has announced the recipients for All-Conference awards for baseball. The Malone University baseball team has one representative on the Second Team in
Colin Coblentz.

Coblentz, a freshman outfielder from Millersburg, Ohio, had a tremendous first season with the Pioneers and helped to lead the team to a 24-24 overall record. He slugged a team-high 13 homeruns, which is the most in a single season in the program's NCAA Division II era. He batted .341 with a 1.142 OPS with a team-high 61 runs and Coblentz drove in 32 runners. For the totality of the season, Malone led the G-MAC in team batting average at .306.

Looking exclusively at conference play, Coblentz tied for fifth in the league with seven homeruns in 30 games played. His G-MAC OPS of 1.138 was fifth as well. He batted .355 against league opponents with the second-most runs scored at 38. The freshman added seven doubles, two triples and 17 RBIs.

In a 14-4 victory over Thomas More University, Coblentz scored five times, which was the most individually for any G-MAC game this season. He was 3-for-3 in that game with a double, two homeruns and was walked and hit by a pitch to reach base five times in seven innings. His ten total bases are tied for the league-lead for a single game as well.
