INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the first time in program history, the Malone University women's lacrosse team received three honorees on the All-Conference teams of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Juniors

Regan Blythe as well as sophomore
Sydney Atkinson have been awarded Second Team All-Conference for their efforts in 2026.

This trio of student-athletes led the Pioneers to an 11-5 overall record and 5-3 mark in conference play. Malone was fourth in the conference standings and competed in the G-MAC Tournament Quarterfinals for the second straight season.

Burns, a midfielder from Melbourne, Australia, led the team with 69 points (35 goals, 34 assists). She scooped up a team-high 50 groundballs and 70 draw controls over the course of 2026. In eight conference games, Burns tallied 30 points and scored 19 goals, marks that tie for the team lead in G-MAC play. She also had 26 ground balls and 30 draw controls in conference action. Burns was tied for fifth in the G-MAC in ground balls and ranked ninth in most draw controls.

On defense, Blythe scooped up 34 ground balls with 19 caused turnovers and brought in 18 draw controls for the season. The Powell, Ohio native recorded 16 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers during G-MAC action. Blythe reached 100 career ground balls this season.

The goalie Atkinson had a standout season between the pipes with 134 saves and a .473 save percentage in 930 minutes. The Chardon, Ohio native had even better numbers during conference play with a .487 save percentage and 75 total saves in eight games. She had 43 total ground balls on the season, 32 of those inside the G-MAC (third-most). Her 9.38 saves per game in league play is the second-highest total in the conference and .487 save percentage is third among qualifying goalkeepers.
