NORTH GREENVILLE, S.C. - After one round of the Cherokee Invitational at Cherokee Valley Country Club, the Malone University women's golf team is third on the leaderboard. The host Trailblazers of North Greenville and Christian Brothers University are tied for the lead at 317, 30 strokes up on the Pioneers.
 
Erin Strouse is the leader for Malone with an 82 (tied for seventh). The senior recorded a birdie on hole 10. Maria Warner and Addison Burris are tied for 15th at 88. The final two scoring members for the Pioneers are Claire Hostetler (89) and Kaylyn Henson (90).
