Women's Golf Back in Action on Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. - The Malone University women's golf team kicked off their spring season on Sunday with competition at the Findlay Spring Invite. The Pioneers are 13th out of 15 teams after they completed two rounds at Boone Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky. The host Oilers lead a field with four nationally-ranked teams.
 
Erin Strouse had three birdies and is 56th overall with a score of 168 (80-88). She went under-par on one of each type of hole: par-3, par-4 and par-5. Maria Warner is close behind in 59th with a score of 170 (84-86) and was very consistent with one birdie and 17 pars.
 
Addison Burris had two second round birdies en route to a day one score of 181 (95-86). Kaylyn Henson tallied three birdies the second time through the course and finished with a 186 (92-94). Claire Hostetler was the final team member for the Pioneers at 189 (97-92).
 
The third and final round of the event will be contested on Monday, March 16.
